My work is based on research, source criticism, and a clear distinction between verified facts, claims, and information that still needs to be investigated.
I follow the ethical principles of the Norwegian press, including the guidelines of the Norwegian Press Complaints Commission (PFU). People or organisations who are the subject of significant claims are given the opportunity to respond and present their side of the story.
Confidential sources are protected when anonymity is necessary, and information shared in confidence is treated accordingly.
I am interested in stories about people, society, history, subcultures, extreme environments, defence, industry, and places or events that are rarely documented in depth.
I develop stories independently or in collaboration with journalists, editors, and publications, working from initial research through to finished photography and film.
